Challenge
The couple desired a beautiful card with a distinguished, elegant design, but their limited budget posed a challenge. A balance between maintaining high-quality aesthetics and staying within their financial limitations was essential.

Couples vision includes elegant colors and personal inspiration
The couple had some requests. Navy blue and white were chosen as the primary colors to reflect the wedding’s theme, with gold accents adding an elegant touch. To complement the palette, dusty lilac was selected as a softer shade that harmonized with the blue and white. Additionally, they wanted the design to draw inspiration from their favorite games or movies, though the execution and final look were left entirely to my creative freedom.
Result
The final design featured a trifold format, with the third panel taped back. Gold accents were enhanced with spot UV varnish for a striking shine. To keep costs manageable, the personalized text for each card was printed separately and assembled afterward.
As a finishing touch, the envelopes were sealed with a custom wax seal. The couples initials were 3D-printed in reverse and used to create an imprint in the wax. To enhance the design, gold powder was applied, adding the perfect golden effect.

Aftermath
The couple were thrilled with their invitations and accompanying designs. We also presented them with the 3D-printed wax seal, which touched them. Their wedding day unfolded beautifully and was very enjoyable.
Developing style
Transforming Dungeons & Dragons into a refined wedding theme
I took inspiration from the dice used in Dungeons & Dragons, a game that holds special meaning for the couple. While other fandoms were considered, D&D offered the perfect balance - the elements are recognizable to fans while still maintaining a sophisticated appeal for those unfamiliar with the game.
